Internal audit activities are trying to figure out how best to audit the GRC capability of an organization. Often, in smaller and mid-sized organizations, internal audit finds themselves in some form of management of the process in the GRC capability posing questions of whether the internal audit activity is independent and objective.

  • Are they capable of providing assurance on GRC capabilities?
  • How far is too far before internal audit is no longer independent and objective?
  • What skills are necessary for an auditor to effectively audit GRC capabilities?
  • Do they have those skills within their internal audit activity or do they require the use of outside specialists?
  • Are there any standard audit procedures or best-practices and internal audit activity can use in auditing these activities?

The objective of this seminar is to provide attendees with the basic knowledge necessary to help them answer these questions and learn how to efficiently audit the GRC capability across the organization. The Open Compliance and Ethics Group’s (OCEG™) GRC Capability Framework and related GRC Assessment Tools are an effective and efficient way to provide assurance to the GRC capability of any organization.

The GRC Audit training will teach you how to efficiently audit the GRC capabilities within your business based on established GRC standards, and the OCEG™ GRC Assessment Toolkit (Burgundy Book). This program also will prepare you to enhance your credentials by receiving the GRC Audit certification offered by OCEG™’s affiliate organization, GRC Certify.
